"I committed myself to getting to the gym no less than 3 times per week and to watch my food volume intake (My wife been cooking healthy for a couple of years so it’s been an issue of quantity rather than quality). There is zero chance I would have accomplished anything, let alone the results below without you and Edge. I wouldn’t have done it on my own and I wouldn’t likely have done it had I gone to a different gym. Most Crossfit gyms would have run me off after a week or two and I’d last about 20 minutes at a Lifetime Fitness type place.  The way you scaled my early workouts kept me engaged.  Now I’m at a point that it’s just part of my routine and I enjoy it!Its one thing to be able to get through a WOD without feeling like I’m going to collapse, but it is an entirely (and WAYYYYYY) more important thing to see these kinds of tangible results ( I did NOT start any medications to lower my cholesterol). You’re adding years to my life! And, I don’t know how to blend in the fact that 6 months ago I couldn’t stand up and put my socks on because of my back issues (I had back surgery with literally left me with pins and screws in my lower back). Geez!!! Even I’m amazed! I can’t thank you enough!! Listed below are my results from beginning at EDGE Feburary 2015 to August 2015 (The initial baseline numbers were taken in August 2014).

Weight:   212lbs to 187 lbs
Waist (pant size):   38” (snug) to 34” (comfortable)
Total Cholesterol:   280 to 235

Blood Pressure:   (130/88) to (118/70)

"Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in & day out..."

"Before I moved to Manhattan, NY, I had been a member of EDGE Fitness and Strength, and trained with Chris Estridge for almost 2 years. In that time, Chris helped not only get me stronger, allowing me to achieve my goals, but he also educated me to really understand the process that goes into strength and fitness training. In my line of work, I have the pleasure of working with some of the most elite coaches in the world. Watching them coach, as well as having the ability to converse with the strength and fitness coaches that work with elite swimmers, it quickly became apparent to me that Chris is truly a great coach who takes a focused, balanced, and educated approach to his profession."

"EDGE is an outstanding facility! Training with Chris Estridge-- a knowledgeable coach, whom I respect-- has taken my fitness to a whole new level. I'm in the best shape of my life! Each workout is adaptable to your ability level. Not to mention, the environment is great! I find myself telling everyone how  much I love EDGE!

"I was only at EDGE for a few weeks, unfortunately, but in those weeks I got a nice feel for what EDGE was about: lifting weights, making friends, and changing lives. The environment is great, and the class sizes are opportune so that every single exercise you do is done properly. Chris' constant oversight is something that you can't find everywhere, and something that should make you interested in checking the gym out! The companionship you form with the other members of EDGE keeps you moving through any challenge you face. As an athlete, Chris and EDGE helped me form a base of knowledge in Olympic weightlifting, as well as improve my cardio, strength, and endurance. The outcome was two personal best times at Junior Nationals! I couldn't have asked for a better gym!

"I had been interested in CrossFit for about a year now, and was excited to try it when I moved back home from college for the summer. My best friend, who is a member of EDGE, told me about the "CrossFit-type" gym she attends, so I decided to give it a try! I went to one free trial class on May 13, 2014 and was hooked! The people and staff at EDGE Fitness & Strength were immediately welcoming and incredibly encouraging. I went into the summer unable to do a single, strict pull-up. In fact, I was told by a Division-1 College Strength and Conditioning coach that I would never be able to do ONE because of my body type. So, I did some talking with the head coach at EDGE, and we made it a goal for me to be able to do one pull-up by the time I went back to college. He gave me drills to add to my workouts that helped me learn and build the strength for a proper pull up. And on July 22, 2014, I got THREE pull-ups easily! Unlike the stigma associate with the dangers of CrossFit-style of training, Chris clearly knows what he is talking about. This gym focuses on perfect technique, so it's easy to get better and stronger every single day without having to worry about getting hurt. And while currently being a collegiate softball player-- staying healthy is important! Having been a member for 3 months now, the gym has become like a second family to me, and I look forward to the 45-minute drive at 5am every day because it's SO worth it! I could go on and on about how amazing of a place EDGE Fitness & Strength is, but the bottom line is, words wouldn't do it justice!"
